This was an amazing place, tucked back up this short side canyon is Ribbon Falls. Or as I keep mistakenly calling it 'Rainbow Falls'. I'd like to say I do that just to aggravate Moe, but no... I lay the blame on my aging brain. Bonus though that it aggravates Moe ;>)
The falls are about 30m in height & terminate in a travertine cone covered in lush vegetation which stands in contrast to the dry desert environment we'd been hiking in all day.A short scramble takes you to the top of the cone & a path leads around behind the waterfall. How cool is that??
To get a sense of scale do you see Moe in this shot? Center right.
One of the trip hilites for sure.
A 'group' shot at the base of the cone. L>R Clayton, Moe.
