This was an amazing place, tucked back up this short side canyon is Ribbon Falls. Or as I keep mistakenly calling it 'Rainbow Falls'. I'd like to say I do that just to aggravate Moe, but no... I lay the blame on my aging brain. Bonus though that it aggravates Moe ;>)
The falls are about 30m in height & terminate in a travertine cone covered in lush vegetation which stands in contrast to the dry desert environment we'd been hiking in all day.
A short scramble takes you to the top of the cone & a path leads around behind the waterfall. How cool is that??
To get a sense of scale do you see Moe in this shot? Center right.
One of the trip hilites for sure.
A 'group' shot at the base of the cone. L>R Clayton, Moe.
