Gone 'Scap'n

Sliding into fall so I decided to set aside the hiking stuff for a couple weeks and finish a neglected section along the side of my house. When we first moved in it was garden, then over the years it has mostly been weeds & or storage and staging areas for materials while other parts of the garden were developed. I built the canoe shed in 2002 out of scrap material.

Oh, the garden isn't done yet and neither is this section. Have to finish the hammock arbour maybe in the winter and plant in the spring... but there must always be loose ends!

Pass 2590m to 'Point' overlook

A steady grind / easy scramble to a high point above Michele Lakes. Awsome awsome views at every turn with Michele Lakes as the focal but distant mountains and icefields too.

Waterfalls Creek to pass 2590m

Climbing but ever changing views make it worthwhile and actually hardly noticeable until we looked back down where we started from.

A day of ups and downs route finding our way over some very lightly used high country.
A sidetrip to the head of Waterfall valley. One of several falls feeding the creek.
Cardiac shot of Forget-me-nots & one of the waterfalls.

Side tripping day with a mixed bag of weather from sun to snow showers. Made for some interesting views though.
