Aside from losing my temper with a few people (The usual stuff that pushes my buttons, I was just not very diplomatic is all), just another day.

Supposed to be an update on re-entry plan tomorrow at around 12:30pm.   Hopefully good news.  Or any solid news would be better than the current situation.

addendum:
Blokland's (mayor) address indicating days, not weeks, with least affected in first.  Don't think that will be me but you never know.   I like timelines better than 'sit tight'.

2013-06-25 update

Just working and listening to updates on the radio. What little I have learned from a fellow working at the hospital is quite grim. I continue to count my blessings, I have an amazing support group & getting back into the routine at work has helped a bit to keep me occupied. Not much else to say. The wait continues.

Floodmagedon 2013

While I'm waiting for High River to be clear for re-entry I'm communicating with people over a variety of channels from FB and Linkedin to email and phones to even a hiking forum I frequent. To that end, once I hit the ground in HR it will be more difficult to keep everyone in the loop. So Gone Shoot'n gets resurrected as I can update from my phone to one place.

Specific replies might be best directed to my phone either as text messages or phone but email will also go there. Email me if you don't have that number. Once things cut loose replies and updates might be delayed.

I don't know what to expect once we can go. It will be slow and stressful at times no doubt and we must be patient and follow protocol. No point in getting electrocuted or something stupid. My neighbors might also need help even if I have enough so I'll do my best to be specific about help that is needed.

So at present I am at work staying at my bosses house. Eric is working until we can hit this and is staying with friends. Shannon is in Olds or Cochrane or at some point with me depending on what she decides. Tessa and Tazz are hanging out with inlaws in Olds. And lastly Mike will come help us when its go time.

Phone updates to Gone Shoot'n will likely be short but hope they help keep people in the loop.

Lastly, this might surprise some people, but I'm not taking a lot of photos during this. Of damage etc obviously, but I refuse to become a lookylou holding up efforts by taking photos. There's lots of that elsewhere if you want anyway.

I'm EVERYWHERE but here

Back in 2007 this photo went up on my blog & it was pretty much the only place you could find me. Photos mostly, bits and pieces.

Now I'm EVERYWHERE. Or at least it feels like it. Social media. Joy.

If you liked the blog (which shall remain for now but I don't find myself inspired to post here anymore) then outdoor trips and stuff are best found on Zenfolio & there is a Zenfolio blog now which I may use when I want to draw attention to something.

Calendar worthy 2012 edition

Well the CT calendar is running behind schedule this year but its back on track & my photo was selected for the 2012 edition.

That would be my fourth in a row and third of larch. Booya!

Meanwhile back at the ranch... January is on rails. Designs on the go, web stuff, usual winter work & some fun outings planned. Time to get out the snowshoes!!

I guess its worth noting that for a variety of reasons no fall road trip this year - unless by some miracle it happens in November to California or something... highly unlikely. So sad, I was on a good roll. However sometimes other priorities for the hard earned cash must prevail.

But its all good. Everybody is healthy & employed or going back to school. Its the little stuff that is picking my butt lately (busted cars, appliances, work BS, overloaded on commitments that just need time to clear off, weeds,) & this post is for me to look back on & laugh after it all goes away with the breeze... (yup, wait for it...)

Summer push

A quick shot from yesterday's photo shoot for the landscape portfolio.

Behind on my processing from recent hikes (Mt Lipsett & Running Rain Lake) plus a family weekend event, but I'm also behind at work with way too many balls in the air. It would help if designs weren't getting grabbed out of my hands before I can fully check them. My garden?? Mother nature has been watering it, weeds are shorter than the veggies (for now). So in other words, same old.

Yesterday was a good day getting around to seeing a few sites that have matured 3-5 years and getting Sheldon to shoot some video for use building marketing stuff this fall / winter. Hard to carve a day out of the busy schedule but I promised myself it would happen so got it done. Hope to do one more part day in August too.

Nearly August... have some things upcoming to look forward to including a long weekend so time to put that shoulder back against the stone for a bit. Roll'n roll'n roll'n....

Volcano Ridge

By the time I do Clubtread & Facebook I sometimes forget about my blog. Anybody reading anymore??

Well, these are two of my favorite photos of the day in any event. A great day out for lots of reasons not the least of which that it turned from what looked like a foggy viewless day to a real bluebird. Stopped off at Vales on the way home for a little plant fix too... although I've been told I talk about plants too much so whatever. Not here I don't.
