Flatlands
Sept 24-30, 2008 I took a road trip thru part of southern Alberta and into Saskatchewan visiting Cypress Hills, Grasslands National Park, Saskatchewan Landing, the longest pedestrian bridge in Canada (it’s in Outlook SK), Regina to visit Glen and Tim, Unity to visit Hank and family (and do an overnighter canoe trip on the North Saskatchewan), the dunes of the Great Sand Hills, and the Badlands of Dinosaur PP in AB. 3061 km of mostly back roads… some say I’m crazy but it was a great break and I saw many cool things. I’ll get some more pictures up in a while, right now its round two of my CLD (Certified Landscape Designer) portfolio and the ‘fall push’. I took this shot on my way home at Hwy 23 & 24 east of High River. I missed seeing the mountains on the western skyline.
